MORLEY OPEN GARDENS – SUMMER 2025

Event Date: 5th July 2025

MORLEY OPEN GARDENS – SUMMER 2025
This year the biennial Morley Open Gardens event will be over the weekend of Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July.

Already 16 gardeners have offered to open their gardens for that weekend, but any number above that would work well, so I hope that more people will be inspired to join us. In 2023 we had 30 gardens. We are again looking for a range of gardens, large or small, neat or wild, with any of the following being ideal:

* flower gardens
* vegetable gardens or allotments
* wildlife gardens
* orchard/woodland gardens
* ponds and bog gardens
* child-friendly (family) gardens
* landscaped gardens
* scenic gardens with a view
* historic gardens
* gardens under construction
* front gardens, back gardens or both
* gardens providing refreshments

There is no minimum standard, and no judging. If you like gardening, your garden will be interesting to visitors.

As the summer progresses, we will start the detailed planning, with a start-up meeting at 7.30 pm on Monday 31st March in St Mathews Church to assess interest and allow people to ask any questions.

Put the date of 5th/6th July in your diary, and let me know if you would like to take part. That will help me with the advance planning, but no-one is committed to take part until we print the programmes in mid-June. Just enjoy gardening in the meantime, as soon as it warms up a bit!

With expressions of interest, or any queries, please come to the meeting on
Monday 31st March, or contact:-
